(Enquiries and Feedback)

The development of the latest surface coating that enhances and protects the warm timber grain beneath, is a result of 21 years development that happened alongside the company's normal work i.e. the design and building of individual kitchens.

In 1992 the company decided to concentrate solely on the manufacture of their " Generation IV ™ " tops.

Since that time steady advancements have been made in the performance of the company's already famous "Generation IV ™ " solid timber benchtops. Step-by-step controlled in-house performance testing of the company's own designed specialist finish ensures that each and every "Generation IV ™" solid timber counter top is produced to the highest possible standard for bars, reception counters, kitchens and bathrooms.

The performance of "Generation IV ™" benchtops is demonstrated in the photographs here.

The performance of the Generation IV ™ finish is demonstrated in the photographs below

(chemically resistant)

CHEMICALLY RESISTANT

Highly acid and solvent proof. The resin is impervious to all household chemicals, beetroot juice, bleaches, caustic soda and colour concentration

(heat resistant)

HEAT RESISTANT

The finish is heat resistant to 150ºC. Most pots and pans can be placed directly on the surface with no effect, but heat-resistant areas are recommended against accidental scorching

(easily cleaned)

EASILY CLEANED

Spillages can be cleaned with normal cleaners. Stubborn stains can be removed with fine steel wool and methylated spirits. The wax dressing restores the original gloss

(impact resistant)

IMPACT RESISTANT

The surface molecules of the softer timbers, such as macrocarpa, are made more dense by the application of an especially designed primer. Adding to the impact resistance, the resin surface is also flexible to ensure heavy dropped articles cause denting and do not crack the surface

(repairable)

REPAIRABLE

Heavy ruptures to the surface can be repaired by filling and polishing

(especially designed formula)

ESPECIALLY DESIGNED FORMULA

The "Generation IV" benchtop finish is designed especially to deal with the varying cellular structures of the 36 timbers in the standard range and to provide excellent durability. The high-sheen,low-gloss polished finish is highly appealing

(performance tested)

PERFORMANCE TESTED

In-house testing of the resin finish ensures the highest standard of on site working performance and consistency of application
