Characteristics: Totara is a light and durable red
to dark brown timber. It has an even tight grain and dries
readily.
Traditional Uses: Canoes, carvings and implements.
Posts, rails and battens. House piles, framing, weatherboards
and finishings.
Generation-4 Timber Top specification:
Totara is a traditional timber which enhances older dwellings.
The grain density is enhanced by the Generation-4
finish.
The Generation-4 finish
presents a dense but flexible, low maintainance finish which
is waterproof, acid and heat resistant.
