Source: Native to California, USA. NZ stock is from
widespread plantations and farm woodlots.
Availability: Likely to be in good supply
in the future.

Characteristics: Pale straw like softwood grain with
brown annual rings.
Traditional Uses: A general all purpose building timber
in the USA. In NZ, treatment processes allow it to be used
for every part of the construction industry, but mostly for
basework, framing and painted finishing work.
Generation-4 Timber Top specification:
Radiata pine has a soft and receptive grain for the Generation-4
finish.
The Generation-4 finish
presents a dense but flexible, low maintainance finish which
is waterproof, acid and heat resistant.
