Characteristics: This species is related to NZ Kauri
and is often substituted for the same. It has more grain colour
and the heartwood is less dense, but is has the fine, attractive
fleck and even finish of NZ Kauri.
Traditional Uses: Furniture, doors and interior joinery.
Generation-4 Timber Top specification:
Fiji Kauri responds well to the densification by the Generation-4
finish.
The Generation-4 finish
presents a dense but flexible, low maintainance finish which
is waterproof, acid and heat resistant.
