Characteristics: Blood red heartwood toning down to
a dark purple-brown with red streaks. The grain is straight
and interlocked and darkens with age.
Traditional uses: Flooring, joinery, furniture, panelling
and veneers.
Generation-4 Timber Top specification:
The Padauk grain is suitable for the Generation-4
finish. The species slowly changes colour from a bright orange
colour to a deep brown.
The Generation-4 finish
presents a dense but flexible, low maintainance finish which
is waterproof, acid and heat resistant.
